Board Member Positions
President
The PTA President manages the Parent Teacher Association. Coordinates work of officers and committees towards promoting PTA objectives. Presides at all meetings. Creates the budget, approves published materials, and acts as liaison between the PTA and the School.
Treasurer
Acts as PTA accountant and maintains all financial records, including accounts receivables and payables. Responsible for State filings for insurance and tax returns, and for a semi-annual audit. Generates monthly financial report for Association and Board meetings.
V.P. Ways & Means
Oversees fundraising activities of the PTA.
Historian
Assembles and preserves a record of PTA activities, achievements and volunteer hours. Assists with Annual Report.
Hospitality
Organizes food for general PTA Meetings. Organizes Bake Sales or any other food related events during school year.
Secretary
The PTA Secretary records proceedings of all meetings and distributes minutes to Board Members. Acts as resource for PTA related policy issues and parliamentary procedures.
V.P. Room Coordination
Supervises and coordinates classroom volunteers for activities and fundraisers. Works to promotes volunteerism throughout the school.
V.P. Membership
Oversees annual membership drive. Works to promote PTA to parents, teachers, staff and community.
V.P. Communications
Helps with PTA website. Submits announcements to media.
Parliamentarian
Attends and call all meetings to order. Makes motions during meetings and maintains order.
